Title

Plat of the City of Leroy, Marion County

Description

This plat presents Leroy through streets and saleable parcels, including indications of lots already sold. That makes it a useful example of a map designed to participate in development rather than merely record a place. Visitors can examine how a proposed or developing community was divided and marketed. The orderly grid records plans and sales information, rather than proving that every plotted street or lot was developed.
