This U.S. Coast Survey hydrographic smooth sheet records the lines of a survey and the depth observations used to chart Mosquito Lagoon. Surveyed in 1875, it preserves the working detail behind a nautical chart, including a statistics table, scale and approval annotations. UF’s digitized image retains the diagonal orientation of the georeferenced sheet, making the connection between the historical survey and later geographic processing visible.
