Catalog notes
A broad equatorial mosaic and two polar views organize the named landscape of Jupiter’s largest moon. Dark regions, bright grooved terrain and impact features are visible beneath a coordinate grid and an extensive set of names. The three-panel arrangement demonstrates a basic cartographic problem: one flat projection cannot conveniently show an entire globe at useful scale. This sheet is valuable both as a planetary reference and as a record of how internationally standardized names make spacecraft imagery easier to discuss and compare. It complements geological classification with a direct visual view of the surface.
